Side Inlet Fill Valve (Ball Valve)
Also known as: ball valve, ballcock, float valve, cistern ball valve
The traditional side-entry float valve that controls water inlet in older cisterns. Uses a ball float on an arm — as the water level rises, the ball lifts and closes the valve.
Inside the cistern, connected at the side. The supply pipe enters through the side wall of the cistern.
Horizontal arm with a plastic or copper ball at the end. The arm and ball pivot at the inlet point.
