Tado Thermostat Not Working
Tado is a popular UK smart thermostat brand. Connectivity issues and app sync problems are the most common complaints. Almost all Tado problems can be resolved through the app or by rebooting the bridge — no tools or engineers needed.

Most likely cause & what to check
Check the Tado Internet Bridge (the white device plugged into your router). It should have a solid white light. If it is flashing or off, unplug and replug it, wait 2 minutes.
Open the Tado app — if it shows devices as offline, tap the affected room and select "Help with connectivity" for guided reconnection steps.
Check that your router is working and the Tado Bridge is connected to the correct network port. Tado requires a stable broadband connection — it does not work offline.
If the thermostat display is blank, replace the batteries (Tado wireless stats use AA batteries). Battery drain is more common in homes where the thermostat is far from the bridge.
If a specific room is not responding, go to Rooms & Devices in the app, select the device, and use the "Reconnect" option.
For Tado Extension Kit issues (the wired module at the boiler), check the LED — steady green means connected. If red, press the button on the extension kit once to re-pair with the bridge.
If Tado keeps losing connection, try moving the Internet Bridge to a different router port or use a powerline adapter to improve the connection quality.
