A soft brass or copper ring inside a compression fitting. When the fitting nut is tightened, the olive compresses around the pipe to create a permanent watertight seal — no soldering needed.

🔍 How to identify it

Small ring, 15 mm or 22 mm (matching the pipe diameter), brass or copper coloured. Barrel-shaped in cross-section.
