Magnetic Filter Cartridge
Also known as: filter magnet, system filter cartridge, Magnaclean cartridge, Fernox TF1 cartridge
The replaceable magnetic element inside a central heating system filter. It captures iron oxide sludge (magnetite) circulating in the system, which can damage the boiler heat exchanger and pump.
Inside the system filter body near the boiler on the return pipe.
Cylindrical magnet assembly — brand and model specific. The outer filter housing is usually a clear or opaque cylinder.
